38TH EA GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The 38th EA General Assembly was held on 23 and
24 November 2016 and gathered representatives from 36 accreditation bodies of
the European Union and other regions, as well as representatives of
organizations and associations that cooperate with EA on accreditation and
conformity assessment issues.
BSCA is in close cooperation with EA aimed at
joining the EA Bilateral Agreement in the field of testing, calibration,
certification of products, management systems and personnel. This will create
conditions for the EU recognition of certificates and test reports issued by entities
accredited in the Republic of Belarus. Recognized by the EU, the Republic of
Belarus will then be able to join the recognition agreements with international
organizations for accreditation ILAC and IAF.
During the
38th EA GA it was agreed on the transition to new standards in the
field of conformity assessment as stipulated by ILAC and IAF GA Resolutions.
In
accordance with EA rules and procedures EA members as well as their accredited
conformity assessment bodies are to follow EA, ILAC and IAF mandatory documents
to ensure harmonized interpretation and implementation of basic standards. The list of EA, ILAC and IAF documents applied by BSCA and its accredited CABs is
available at BSCA website. The texts of the relevant
documents are publicly available from EA, ILAC, IAF websites.
