Revision of ILAC P10
A revision of ILAC P10, ILAC Policy on Traceability
of Measurement Results, is currently underway. The current version of ILAC
P10 was released in 2013. Since then, the document has been implemented in all
regions and has established clear rules for how metrological traceability can
be documented. Further ILAC P10 has greatly influenced the revision of clauses
on metrological traceability in ISO/IEC 17025:2017, General requirements for
the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. This revision maintains
the core of the policy on metrological traceability; however, the policy update
is needed due to development in metrological traceability and the accreditation
of Reference Material Producers (RMP).
In the process of revision of ILAC P10 a task force
group has reviewed and addressed comments made by members of the ILAC Accreditation
Committee (AIC) and prepared the revised draft, which went through two stages
of voting and will be published shortly.
Based on the results of the amendments to the new
version of ILAC P10, the Belarusian State Centre for Accreditation will update
the relevant BSCA policy PL SM 7.0-2015, Policy on Metrological Traceability
of Measurements Results.
After the publication
of the final versions of the documents, they will be made available on BSCA
website and in IS Accreditation.
