RusAccreditation visited BSCA

n February 9-10, 2017 the representatives of RusAccreditation and National Institute of Accreditation led by Alexei Khersontsev, head of RusAccreditation, visited Belarusian State Centre for Accreditation (BSCA).


During the visit Alexei Khersontsev together with Tatyana Nikolaeva, Director of BSCA, met Viktor Nazarenko, Head of State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus. The negotiations touched upon the ways to harmonize the approaches to accreditation and conformity assessment activity within the
Eurasian Economic Union. The parties discussed the mechanism of peer evaluations of accreditation bodies as the means to ensure the equivalency of accreditation procedures and thus to eliminate technical barriers to trade.

Belarusian and Russian colleagues exchanged their experience on the following issues:
accreditation process in accordance with ISO/IEC 17011
the results of peer evaluations performed by regional associations for accreditation EA (BSCA experience), APLAC (RusAccreditation experience)
policies of RusAccreditation and BSCA on the use of accreditation symbols by accredited entities, ect.

The specialists of BSCA introduced the Unified IT System in the field of conformity assessment, developed together with the Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification. BSCA also shared its experience in organizing training courses for assessors and for specialists of accredited entities.

Summarizing the results of the visit the parties expressed mutual intention for further bilateral cooperation, as well as elaborated main directions for further fruitful cooperation within the Threaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.
