Visit to CNAS
Recognizing the essential role of accreditation in
establishing mutual trust and trade co-operation in the region
of the Silk Road Economic Belt, the specialists of the Belarusian State Center
for Accreditation participated in the seminars organized by the China National
Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) under the “One Belt - One
Road” initiative, which took place from the 4
th to 15th
of September in Beijing, PRC.
Representatives of the accreditation bodies from 14
countries including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia,
Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Kenya and
Ethiopia took part in the conference.
The participants from the China National Accreditation
Service for Conformity Assessment included Ms. Wang Fengqing, Chief Administrator of
the CNAS, Mr. Liu
Weijun, Deputy Chief Administrator of the
Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China,
and Mr. Xiao Jianhua, President of the
International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and Secretary-General for CNAS.
Within the framework of the conference the
participants analyzed the structure of the national accreditation system of
China, learnt the best practices of accreditation of certification bodies,
laboratories, inspection bodies, as well as discussed the perspectives of
cooperation and establishing mutual trust in the results of accredited conformity
assessment bodies in the region of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
Within the framework of the forum visits were made to
the accredited subjects of CNAS - the National Institute of Metrology, the
Chinese Research Institute of Control and Quarantine, the Chinese Architecture
Research Institute, the Organic Certification Center, and the Medical
Laboratory of the Joint Hospital.
Based on the results of the meetings, the parties developed a unified position on the issues discussed, outlined the main areas for further cooperation, and expressed the intention for fruitful interaction of the parties under the framework of the “One Belt - One Road” initiative.
